LIFE INSURANCE AWARENESS MONTH WEBSITE
Each September, Life Happens is joined in its educational initiative by more than
100 of the nation’s leading insurance companies and industry groups.
PROBLEM
Help producers increase awareness of life insurance with their clients.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborated with a small distributed team. Collaborated
with the CEO on information architecture. Created
sketches, wireframes, and visual design.
SCOPE & CONSTRAINTS
The challenge each year was organizing the vast
amount of content and resources and making it all
work with AIG's overall brand.
PROCESS / WHAT I DID
I took in consumer feedback and research from the team and began a competitor analysis of similar websites. From there I used that information to help in the creation of sketches and decisions of what would work best. I proceeded to make a mockup to present to the team. Took in the team’s feedback and refined the design. Worked closely with the developer and refined the design based on their constraints or feedback.
OUTCOME & LESSONS
Received well by the client and the website has created tens of thousands of connections since it’s launching. Was popular enough that it had an annual face lift and new dedicated resources.  It was promoted each Life Insurance Awareness Month for 4 years in a row.  The usage became so significant that it was decided to leave it up all year and make it an evergreen site.  The last iteration of RetireStronger.com gave LIAM a section of its own so that visitors could utilize either.
