CUBA LIBRE NIGHTS WEBSITE
Responsive Wordpress website that helps millennial Latino party-goers know about upcoming events at their favorite venue so they can easily purchase tickets, VIP, and bottle services without the hassle of waiting in long lines or making confusing calls.
PROBLEM
Cuba Libre is a successful restaurant & night club based in Orlando, DC, Atlantic City & Philadelphia & needed a separate entity that matched their current brand but clearly established a separate nightlife division for them. Too many patrons were contacting the restaurant for information about events which hurt event sales and frustrated customers.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborated with the club’s marketing manager. Created sketches, wireframes, and visual design. Converted the
design to WordPress and integrated the website with the
client's venue management software.
SCOPE & CONSTRAINTS
The biggest challenge was integrating the client's venue
platform as seamlessly as possible with the rest of the website.
PROCESS / WHAT I DID
After the kickoff meeting, I took in the marketing manager’s feedback and began a competitor analysis of similar websites from some of the popular clubs that the client liked. From there I used this information to help in the creation of sketches and decisions of what would work best.
Developed branding, style guide and color palette that worked with the restaurant brand but still appealed to the younger Latin nightlife crowd. Once the style guide was approved, I proceeded to make a mockup to present to all the project's stakeholders.
Took in stakeholder feedback and refined the design before beginning the WordPress development process. Worked directly with the venue management software developer to smoothly integrate their software within Wordpress.
OUTCOME & LESSONS
Received well by the customers with the
1st-month results for the Orlando location total sales almost doubling, a 198% increase in online reservations, a 397% increase in online guest referrals. The holiday launch may have been of some help to these numbers but according to the marketing managers the numbers have been great and calls to the restaurant for club info have decreased to almost zero.
